CeTeau USA @ Geoamericas 2024
Toronto, Canada

Just last week, our President, Mark Palmatier, and our team from CeTeau BV, including Tijl Pieter de Zwart, Francisco Baez, and Chloe Cao, had the privilege of attending the prestigious GeoAmericas 2024 conference held in Toronto. As the 5th Pan-American Conference on Geosynthetics, GeoAmericas serves as a crucial platform for exploring the optimal utilization and profound impact of geosynthetics on civil infrastructure and sustainability throughout the Americas. Organized by IGS North America, this conference, held every four years, is a cornerstone event in the industry, bringing together key stakeholders and thought leaders from across the region.

Our experience at GeoAmericas 2024 was enlightening and enriching, providing an exceptional opportunity to engage with clients, friends, and industry colleagues. We had insightful discussions about ongoing projects and emerging challenges within the field. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stopped by our booth, contributing to the vibrant exchange of ideas and forging meaningful connections. Your presence and participation made our time at the conference truly invaluable, and we eagerly anticipate the continuation of these dialogues as we collectively navigate the evolving landscape of geotechnical and civil engineering.

Beyond the exhibition floor, our technical director, Francisco Baez, had the privilege of presenting a paper titled "Working Application of Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVDs) as Excess Pore Pressure Dissipators from Dynamic Compaction Activities." Francisco's presentation was an excellent example of CeTeau's commitment to innovation and expertise in addressing complex challenges within the industry. His insights and findings not only contributed to the scholarly discourse at GeoAmericas, but also showcased our dedication to advancing the field through research and practical solutions.

We are grateful for the enriching experiences and connections made during our participation in GeoAmericas 2024. Thanks to the organizers for orchestrating this remarkable event that served as a catalyst for collaboration, learning and growth. We thank our fellow attendees for their commitment to advancing the field of geosynthetics & geotechnical engineering. We look forward to seeing everyone in Columbia in 2028!
